{Welcome to SSU 2005! Eight years and still going strong!}

Few web communities have lasted over eight years and still thrive. SSU has seen many forms over the years. Once upon a time ago, it was known as Squaresoft Universe hosted on a Geocities site using a Beseen Chat room. Now it is simply known as SSU Chat. SSU has become large part of our lives. We hope it will continue to be so for many more years.

We’ve gone through many changes over the years. People have come and gone, we’ve changed web hosts, been dumped by web hosts, have had multiple versions of our chat room written by SSUer’s, and someone even attempted to hack our site.

Although our chat room has become private and not accessible to the public, the purpose of this site is to make a lasting tribute to SSU in a way that is important to all of us that will last long after the death of SSU, as if such a thing would ever happen!
