
Square and Electronic Arts Join Forces
4-27-98: Square and Electronic Arts have formed a new joint venture company to bring more Square games to the US and more EA games to Japan. Called Square Electronic Arts in the US, the company will handle the task of translating Square's games for the American audience. Similarly, Electronic Arts Square will exist in Japan in order to bring EA's games to the Japanese audience. Along with this announcement came confirmation that 4 additional Square titles will be released in the US, as noted in the list below. Exact dates, however, are yet to be determined.

Final Fantasy PC Updates
A release date has finally been set for the Windows 95 version of Final Fantasy VII - see below. Additionally, Eidos (responsible for bringing FF VII to the PC) has announced that contrary to previous reports, Final Fantasy V will be released in the U.S. for PC some time in 1998. No additional word on a possible PC release of FFVI or other Square titles.

Final Fantasy Game Boy Games to be Rereleased!
All four Final Fantasy Game Boy games are going to be rereleased this May by Sunsoft. Release schedule is as follows:
