Another year, another slew of themed days. While participation has weakened to a very passive thing, theme suggestions are coming together more frequently again, and perhaps theme days will be rejuvenated. Please note that participation is not mandatory, but it is of course encouraged. Below are listed, in chronological order, the themes of the past, by year.
| ~ 2005 ~ |
~ Seiken Densetsu Day ~ 1/9/05 ~ I can't remember for certain if this was the date of that theme. Vav says so though. It might've been the previous week. But it happened. And it involved Seiken Densetsu characters. And it was Nadia's idea. And that's how it was. See. Oh, you can't. ~ Megaman Day ~ 1/16/05 ~ Super fighting robot... MEGA MAN! Super fighting robot... MEGA MAN! Fighting to saaaave the wooooorld! Okay, I don't remember the song at all but that was about the extent of the lyrics anyway. And this theme wasn't even about the cartoon. Just Megaman characters. It was about as memorable as the cartoon. Actually a little less so. ~ Mass Destruction Day ~ 1/23/05 ~ There are other forces of mass destruction than nuclear bombs. We were those. ~ Zelda Tool Day ~ 1/30/05 ~ What a creative idea! Everyone was an item from the Zelda series. This is the kind of thing we need to come up with more often! ~ Drawing Day ~ 2/6/05 ~ Everybody drew their own avatars for this theme days. They were all pretty interesting, honestly. Nothing quite like Garbinthenroth though. ~ CASTLE Day ~ 2/13/05 ~ Inspired by an awesome voice chat, this theme day involved being a castle, real or imaginary. There were some beautiful choices. CASTLE ~ Retro Day ~ 2/20/05 ~ Ah, the classics. This theme was about using the oldest handle, colors (that means all the handles were white! Remember those days?), and avatar you could remember having. Great idea. ~ Minor Historical Figure Day ~ 2/27/05 ~ In the same vein as Unlikely Protagonist Day, but not at all related, this theme explains itself. Pick somebody most people have never heard of who did something cool. An educational and amusing experience. ~ Last Minute Day ~ 3/6/05 ~ Eh, I'll write this one up later. Maybe. *looks at his watch* ...I've got plenty of time. ~ Fair Day ~ 3/13/05 ~ Inspired by SSUCon The Faaaa-aaaair Edition, this theme involved things which one finds at the fair. Like food, and rides, and flying camels. Lots of them. ~ Pastel Day ~ 3/27/05 ~ Well, it's Easter. And it's not bunnies. What're you gonna do? Pastels. Preeeeetty.
